Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

ART is a gentle, evidence-based therapy that helps individuals process distressing experiences, reduce anxiety, and find relief from difficult emotions. While it is especially helpful for those who have experienced trauma, it can also be a powerful tool for more everyday stressors.

For example, ART may be a good fit for:

  • Overstimulated or overwhelmed parents who feel mentally and emotionally “maxed out”

  • Children and teens struggling with anxiety or big emotions

  • Individuals navigating complex or unresolved grief

  • First responders and healthcare workers

  • Students experiencing academic stress or performance overwhelm

One of the unique aspects of ART is that it often works more quickly than traditional talk therapy, and even EMDR therapy. Many clients report significant relief in just one session, without needing to go into detailed verbal descriptions of their experiences. The process uses guided imagery and eye movements to help the brain reprocess distressing memories in a way that feels safer and more manageable.
