Betsy Kitchens, MS, LPC-Associate

Supervised by Bethany Moss, LPC-S, RPT-S

Betsy believes that healing and growth happen within the context of relationships. Taking a systemic approach, she seeks to understand individuals by exploring the connections, environments, and life experiences that shape who they are. Through her graduate training and clinical experience, Betsy has developed a counseling style that is curious, empathetic, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices.

Her work focuses on helping clients navigate life transitions, relationships, and external influences that impact emotional well-being. Betsy balances thoughtful exploration with practical tools, supporting clients as they build self-confidence, develop healthy emotional boundaries, strengthen coping skills, and deepen meaningful relationships, including the one they have with themselves. She approaches her work with a strong commitment to safety, authenticity, and cultural humility.

Betsy works with adolescents, adults, couples, and families, and has experience supporting clients with anxiety, OCD, and developmental and relational trauma. In sessions, she is warm, supportive, and thoughtful, considering the full context of a client’s life to better understand patterns contributing to current challenges. Whether clients are navigating anxiety, relational conflict, past trauma, life transitions, or self-doubt, Betsy walks alongside them with compassion, collaboration, and respect.

Betsy is trained in NeurOptimal® neurofeedback, which can support nervous system regulation and emotional resilience, and Safe Conversations®, a relationship-focused approach to improving communication. She is also a certified Prepare & Enrich® facilitator, offering counseling and support for pre-engaged, premarital, and long-term couples seeking deeper connection and healthier communication.

Betsy lives in Dallas, Texas. Outside of counseling, she enjoys reading, traveling, fashion, walking her dog, and spending time with friends and family.
